EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP 2023 - 2024

Our leadership team oversees all projects in a given cycle and works to implement a long-term vision for the organization.

 
 

Jillian Robertson | Managing Director

Jillian Robertson is a third-year from Boston, studying Economics, Data Science and Art History. She joined EC in the winter of her first year and has worked with clients in Financial Services, Museum Operations, Social Media Technology, Retail, and the NFL. As Managing Director, she is responsible for Eckhart’s overarching performance, finances, and administrative operations. Outside of EC, she serves on the Smart Museum’s Student Advisory Committee, volunteers weekly through MoneyThink, and works as a lecture notetaker. This past summer, Jillian worked at Sleep Number as a Data Analytics Intern.

Aisling Murtagh | Principal of Business Development

Aisling Murtagh is a third-year studying Mathematics from New York. Previously, she led an engagement with the Wall Street Journal. As Principal of Business Development, she is responsible for sourcing engagements, determining project scopes, and maintaining client relationships. Outside of EC, Aisling is the Director of Finance for the Chicago Maroon. This past summer, she worked as a Strategy and Innovation intern at Shure Inc.

Nicholas Polansky | Principal of Engagement

Nicholas is a fourth year studying economics and global studies from the Washington, DC area. Since joining Eckhart in the fall of his second year, Nicholas has worked with a variety of clients from a national fast-casual chain to a tech startup. Last year he managed an engagement with a big three publisher. Outside of Eckhart, Nicholas is involved with UChicago’s MUN conference, where he manages a committee, the Institute of Politics, where he previously served as chair of its LGBT org., and The Blue Chips (an investing club). As Principal of Engagement, he’s responsible for alumni engagement, developing relationships with recruiters, and EC’s overall professional development. This past summer, Nicholas worked for Bain & Co. where he will be returning after graduation.

João Galafassi | Principal of Strategy

João Galafassi is a third-year studying Economics and Romance Languages. He joined EC during the winter of his first year, and most recently led an engagement for Lululemon. As Principal of Strategy, João oversees Eckhart’s endowment and investing activity, ensures current projects are running smoothly, and leads all internal professional training. Outside of EC, João is the president of MODA and enjoys cooking and staying active. Next summer, João will be working in investment banking.


Taerin Kim | Principal of Operations

Taerin Kim is a third-year studying Economics and Mathematics from Michigan. She joined EC in the fall of her first year and previously led an engagement with Sephora. As Principal of Operations, she is responsible for directing recruiting efforts, developing consultant feedback and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion initiatives, and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the club. This past summer, Taerin worked for as a Bankruptcy & Corporate Law research assistant through UChicago's Becker-Friedman Institute for Economics.

PROJECT TEAM STRUCTURE

 

Engagement Manager

EMs are members of club leadership who organize and lead the project, working closely with the client to guide high-level strategy.


Project Advisor

Each project is assigned 1–2 project advisors, who are usually full-time strategy consultants at firms like McKinsey, Bain, and BCG.


Senior Consultant

Each project has 1–2 senior consultants, who are typically 3rd or 4th year students and have led a project in the past.
