Each spring Eckhart Consulting brings a consulting case competition to students at the University of Chicago in partnership with a professional consulting firm. Many students find participating in this case competition rewarding because it is a great opportunity for them to learn more about consulting, practice solving problems, and work in teams in a fun environment.

This past year we partnered with Cargill, a multinational food, agriculture, financial, and industrial product and service conglomerate, and Bain and Company. Teams competed for a private networking dinner with Bain consultants through a process consisting of two judging rounds. There was a mandatory information session that at least one team member must attend on Tuesday, April 21st and the case competition lasted until Friday, May 8th.

In 2014, students formed teams and presented recommendations to Sears Holdings Corporation based on pre-collected data. Chicago Booth MBA students judged the competition's first round and top performers were invited to a final round presentation and networking session at Bain & Company's Chicago office.
